KATE PRICE GOLLOP

It is with the deepest regret, shock and sadness that we have to advise the death this week of our dear Kate.

Fr. Michael posted the following on Facebook on Thursday evening:-

” Our beloved Kate, phenomenal ‘cellist and musician, and phenomenal human being, died today (Thursday) at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.   Despite the valiant efforts of her medical team over the last three weeks, it was impossible to save her life.   She was unique and irreplaceable.  Please pray for her, and for those of us who are left behind who will struggle to live up to her example.

Fr Michael’s wife, Kate Price, remains in Intensive Care in Bristol but has made some promising progress during the latter part of this week.

Fr Michael has, sadly, had an accident during the week and has suffered a fractured leg so is currently on crutches.

We continue to remember Kate and Fr Michael, in our prayers.

The 10.00am Eucharist will take place at St. Arvans this Sunday, as usual. It is unlikely that we will be able to live-stream it, this week.

This evening’s talk on The Camino – POSTPONED

Please note that due to last week’s severe respiratory illness of Fr Michael and his wife, the proposed talk on Fr Michael’s Pilgrimage Walks has had to be postponed to a later date.

Friday’s talk in Church about the extraordinary Revd. Dr Arthur Purchas, born in St. Arvans in 1821 and an early missionary to New Zealand, will take place, as advertised. Please see link to poster, below:-
